SONG OF THE HEART
SILENT MEDITATION RETREAT

Discovering the essential wholeness of the body, mind & heart through modern trauma-informed somatic practices and non-dual principles to open to the spiritual wisdom of the body and to discover the mystical union of body & soul.
"An awareness of global oneness has begun to constellate. The idea of the unity of life, that 'We are One', no longer belongs just to a spiritual or ecological fringe; it is becoming part of the mainstream. But this awareness is lacking an essential ingredient - it is still an idea, it is not fully alive. When it becomes alive, the heart of the world will open and we will hear its song, the song of the oneness of life. The unity of life is a direct expression of the divine and it is our lived connection to the divine that gives us meaning. This song will remind us of our true nature and why we are here."
- Llewellyn Vaughan-Lee

If you are yearning to go beyond your everyday reality, to quiet your mind, to connect with your innate body-based wisdom and the deepest part of yourself, 10-Day Silent Meditation Retreat might be exactly what you have been looking for.
This retreat brings together spiritual, non-dual philosophies with modern trauma-informed approaches. It will guide you to an intimate understanding of what meditation is at the level of mind, body and soul to experience a more holistic inner transformation. By slowing down, turning inward and bringing awareness to all parts of our being we are able to reclaim our birthright to wholeness and happiness.
These 10 days are a chance for you to give yourself the profound gift of silence. Silence provides a safe sanctuary for the body to open so stored emotions and stuck sensations can be seen, felt, let go of and exiled parts of the self, liberated. When the mind quiets and we dare to take the leap to truly listen to the body and feel what is alive, we come into direct relationship with our somatic world where we hold our deepest shame & unworthiness as well as our greatest potential, power & pleasure. This soft container of silence allows for these feelings to be metabolised, seen, felt, breathed into & integrated. Through silence you can begin to perceive the peaceful, yet dynamic and eternal core of your being;, the source of all inspiration & unconditional love and enable yourself to live from a place of embodied aliveness - the heart, the very core of your being.
In our yearning to be perfect, we have mistaken perfection for wholeness. We think we cannot love ourselves until we and others meet some external standard. Depression, anxiety—in fact, most neuroses and compulsions—are ultimately a defense against loving ourselves without condition. When we choose instead to slow down, turn our gaze inward, and tune in with what is happening for us inside our bodies, we are able to BE intimately with ourselves, and to discover the hidden origins behind feelings of disconnection to self & to others, our need for validation & approval, codependency, lack of purpose and feelings of unworthiness & irrational fear.
As we slow down, feel and listen to what is true, beyond what we are told is true from the outside, we discover true intimacy with our deepest sense of self. A sense of Self and intimacy beyond sex and sexuality. An intimacy that is felt as Truth beyond self-abandonment in order to belong. Truth beyond the constructs and programming we have received about how to be, what to do, how to look, how to feel, how to heal, how to love and how to be loved. Truth beyond an idealised image of how we think we should work, relate, parent, make love, speak, dance, breathe and be as a human being. Intimacy as this naked, bare and incredibly beautiful Truth of all existence.
This silent retreat is a laboratory for you to dismantle the programming of the past and allow the natural deconditioning process to unfold by tapping into our body-based wisdom and rooting ourselves in the heart. For centuries, the heart has been considered a source of emotion, courage and wisdom. By learning how to access this source of wisdom and intelligence, we will find our way to live our lives with more balance, greater creativity and enhanced intuitive capacities. Living in heart coherence will naturally lead to increased personal effectiveness, improved health, loving relationships and greater fulfillment. Accessing these heart qualities when we need them takes practice. During this retreat you will learn simple yet effective tools to tap into your inherent heart qualities. We all naturally have these heart qualities within us, such as dignity, ease, love, patience and compassion. However, it is our job to awaken these heart qualities and consciously choose to live these qualities of the heart to bring about the changes we wish to see in our personal life and in the world at large.
Daily Yin Yoga classes or somatic embodiment movement classes, guided meditation sessions and discourses on relevant topics will support you on this journey and provide you with helpful tools that you can take home to further deepen your own practice and growth post retreat. Furthermore you will receive wisdom and inspiration from a variety of spiritual traditions and will be guided into a step-by-step practice of Embodied Self-Inquiry.
