"Yoga does not just change the way we see things;
it transforms the person who sees.”

Sacred Journey of the Soul
200 hour yoga teacher training
November 5 - December 3, 2022
This 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) is based on a holistic approach to yoga, going beyond the usual common labels and honoring the artful and wholesome way that yoga truly embodies, bridging tradition with our modern world. A connected journey through the elements, this training also serves to remember the ancient ways of the earth. Offering practices outside the traditional modern frame of yoga, one can connect with their own fluidity, passion, and strength. Connecting to the inner curiosity and trust gives a foundation to follow one’s individual, unique path of yoga on and off the mat. This in-depth training is much more than a yoga retreat. It is the path of yoga weaved within deep transformational work, earth rituals, community, movement and the heart of silence. It supports the shift toward a sacred relation with the self, the other, and nature, deepening the trust toward the process and one’s unique expression.
Dedicated to Mother Earth this YTT is a call to all courageous souls who say yes to their call to become her stewards. This is a journey for those who want to feel more deeply and thus experience the fullness and depth of life. All teachings shared are offered with the intention for their essence to be felt rather than attempted to understand with the mind and over analyze their significance. This journey is a call to surrender your outdated self and dare to be reborn into deeper wisdom, confidence and creativity.
There's a difference between knowing the path and walking the path.
At any point of this journey, we invite you to remember that we are offering you a map and this training is just the very beginning of a deeper journey. And as with any other map, simply learning their lines intellectually doesn’t mean that we know the territory. We must still cross through our own landscapes of doubt, fear and pain to arrive at further wisdom, love and light.
The human journey is one of a spiral - we must go all the way to get to a new level of understanding. In our modern world this might mean we may get a job and lose this job, we may get married, have kids and get divorced, lose a loved one, get sick, etc.
In crossing our inner landscape, we will understand that all these painful experiences are opportunities for quantum leap and we must peel all these many different layers, like peeling an onion, to arrive at the core.
As we are walking on the path of yoga, our passage is laid on the foundation of 2 different compasses - the ancient Shamanic Medicine Wheel and the modern Hero’s Journey. We chose these tools to better describe the different stages a human is commonly traveling through their life journey, laying out how each step affects our psyche and creates substantial ripples in our lives. As we walk through our journey together, you are warmly invited and encouraged to start recognizing when and how you have been in each landscape and to reflect on where you are now.
Our hope and deep wish for you is that by the end of this training you will be able to identify what psychic, emotional and spiritual milestones you have already realized and are opening more and more to the unfolding of your very personal journey.
“Life is a book of changes.
It should be read only to understand how it works.
You can't help the changes in life;
they must come whether they are good or bad
because the good must follow the bad
and the bad must follow the good.”
― Yogi Bhajan

Hɪ, ᴍʏ ɴᴀᴍᴇ ɪs Dᴀɴ!
By nature more of an adventurer and explorer than a philosopher, I have always sought direct experiences throughout my life’s journey.
When I started to dive deep into Yoga and Bodywork 15 years ago, I experienced how physical and emotional depth and openness are related and found a way to use modern anatomy to make traditional mystical wisdom perceptible in the body.
In my classes, massages and trainings I invite you to experience your own body as an infinite space of awareness in which you can recharge and heal.
As a teacher in more than 2.500 hours of yoga teacher trainings, I have accompanied a great number of people on their way to becoming yoga teachers and am happy to teach and learn more about the possibilities this human body offers to unleash our full potential.
Hᴇʟʟᴏ, I’ᴍ Kᴀᴛʀɪɴ!
Being a former project manager in an advertising agency, I know how difficult it is to slow down and connect with our hearts. 2016, I therefore dedicated my life to explore ways to foster this connection. These days, I am an international teacher, mentor, and artist supporting beings in embodying their most authentic spiritual expressions in this human reincarnation. My aim is to introduce somatic-based tools to embody Love and deepen one's capacity for intimacy and connection to enable people to create the lives and relationships they yearn for. Out of my own deep love for various teachings I came across, I am nowadays bridging spiritual practices, authentic relating, somatic awareness, conscious movement, self-inquiry, meditation, Hatha Yoga and ritual in my offerings.
My teaching style is grounded, innovative, deeply mystical, evocative and rooted in fierce love to wake the innate wisdom within each of us.

APPLIED YOGIC, TANTRIC & SHAMANIC WISDOM FOR TODAYS WORLD
A session is a meditation in motion – body, mind and soul flow together again. No fragmentation of the body or techniques. Rather we are accessing and focussing on the cellular memory of our muscles and we (re)learn to move again with relaxation, with joy. This approach creates a natural flow into every asana where we can truly rest, and nothing strains. We deepen the trust in ourselves. Through the practice we open a space of inner safety. Never again in your life will you want to allow someone else to tell you if you are ok. You find and look for the answer within.
ENERGETIC ALIGNMENT & ANATOMY, SOMATIC AWARENESS
Yoga anatomy is connected to body awareness, to discovering new body spaces and inner realms, rather than just learning a new set of rules about what to do in a Yoga Pose.
Feeling the alignment of the Asanas from within is called Energetic Alignment. With more and more practice this enables us to get in touch with our inner guidance, to let energy lead us into the perfect alignment for our specific body.
Feeeling deeper and deeper into the body leads to somatic awareness and allows us to connect to memories that are imprinted in our system, often since a long time ago. Bringing these old, stuck emotions back to the surface in a safe and regulated way sets bound energy free and helps us to unleash a hidden potential that we often didn’t know of.
The voice is our bridge to something bigger than ourselves; it is our connection to the prayer we carry. Voice activation aims to pierce through the voices in our heads and to open a door for a new relationship between us and the transformative quality of our vocal expression. This takes us a bit closer to our beautiful, raw, wild and imperfect human flow with all its messy and ever-changing emotions and feelings. Voice activation is a deep yet playful self-inquiry journey of discovery into the mystery and healing forces of our most intimate musical instrument – our own voice.
Breath is the bridge which connects life to consciousness, which unites body with mind. The quality of our breath is a direct reflection of the quality of our life and health: When we are stressed, angry or suppressing emotion the breath is shallow and short. When we are calm and centered the breath is balanced and flowing.
With gentle breathwork practices we learn to alchemically work with the breath to transform the energy of the moment and access the depth of the moment. These practices also encourage you to explore all your emotions. In doing this, you explore your potential of awakening to your inner world, and to move through life with a deeper self-knowing and a more complete sense of who you are.
Meditation itself is neither a method nor a technique. It is pure BEING, what we already are. Meditation is not doing something. Meditation is the cessation of all activity, inside and out.
Now what is the truth behind all spiritual directions, ways and methods? That is you! You are looking for yourself. What is looking for in you is at the same time the goal of the search. We are already at home, we have never left it. In fact, you and your home are the same.
There is something in us that has never changed, that has always been perfectly still and immobile. The background upon which all thoughts appear is consciousness, which is perfect peace, limitless and without extension.
Trust and vastness arise when many people work intensively and truthfully on themselves, immerse themselves in them and express their deep longings. We gradually (re)learn that it is okay to communicate our feelings and needs. We all become researchers of our inner spaces and there is a field of compassion and respect for each other. Sharing all of our emotions authentically, also anger, sadness and helplessness, create a space to recognize our shared human experience. Through these authentic sharing we can see that our seemingly so private problems are in reality a shared experience and amazingly many others have very similar difficulties. This understanding changes the perspective enormously and fundamentally.
